Akoranga mo ake ake: Learning for Life

Nau mai, Haere mai, ki te kura o Clyde.   Welcome to Clyde School.

Thank you for taking the time to visit Clyde School's website.

Our school is situated on the banks of the Mata-au River and has a roll of 150 - 170 students. There is a strong sense of community and the supportive environment makes it an awesome place to learn and grow.

Clyde School has an experienced, dedicated, caring staff who are committed to supporting all students to achieve success. Learning programmes are child centred, authentic, purposeful and responsive to individual learning needs. Students are provided with opportunities to work collaboratively, think critically, problem solve and manage their own learning. There is a strong focus on developing students' self-regulation skills.

Our school motto is 'Akoranga mo ake ake: Learning for Life'. Our aim is to establish excellent foundation skills in literacy and numeracy and to empower each individual to be connected, ambitious, respectful and enthusiastic members of our community.

Clyde School has a rich EOTC (Education Outside the Classroom) programme that provides numerous opportunities for students to step outside their comfort zone, build confidence, perseverance and develop resilience.

We recognise the importance of hauora / well-being and take a holistic approach to education, nurturing students physical, spiritual, social and emotional well-being.

If you would like to learn more about our school I invite you to come and visit us.
